FAQ and info...

|
I am starting up a brand new 8 week
introductory class in response to a need for individuals preparing for upcoming
weddings, and other social events over the next few months. In eight
weeks, I can take you through the basics to give you the foundation you will
need in order to dance to popular music at your next reception. Read on for more
details, or contact me now and lets get started! |
When and What time?
Every Wednesday night, April 18 - June 6, from 8:30 - 9:30, with some practice time available after class.
How much?
It is $100 for all eight weeks. That breaks down to $12.50 a class, which is basically the best deal out there for what you are getting for that cost. I've checked! You can pay with cash, check or credit card, due at the end of the first class. If you will not be able to attend every single class, we can discuss your specific situation.
Where?
L.A. Dance Galaxy, 2541, West Ridge Pike, West Norriton, PA 19403
mapquest directionsWho?
Singles, couples, beginners, pros. Whether you've never danced at all, or whether you are skilled in one or two disciplines, but would like to get some background of what you can do to popular music, this is for you. I plan to have an even match of leaders and followers and will do my best to match up interested singles willing to commit to the full 8 weeks. Will you rotate partners?
I will rotate everyone once or twice in a class for the sake of teaching about the symbiotic relationship of dancing, but if you came as a couple, I will make sure you are dancing with each other the overwhelming majority of the time. Singles will rotate evenly.
Can I bring music and/or request a specific dance that I want to work on?
Absolutely! Bring your favorite song! It's all about getting you to recognize what to dance to all those classic hits you've been hearing on the radio all your life.Is there time to practice afterwards?
Yes, people can stay for an extra half hour after class to practice. The value of taking the time to practice just a little bit after learning something, to get it ingrained into your muscle memory, cannot be stressed enough!I haven't been very successful at dancing in the past. Is this going to be different?
In my 8 years of teaching, I have found only two reasons why people have been "unsuccessful" in their past lessons, and neither of them are about lack of talent or rhythm. 1 - their previous teacher failed to teach them how to properly lead and/or follow, 2 - the information was not presented in a way they could process it at their level of skill. Because I've dealt with these issues in my teaching style, things that would otherwise confound people (such as the cha-cha basic, or the rockstep rhythm in swing, or Foxtrot "smooth" floorcraft), actually get resolved in a matter of minutes.CALL/TEXT ME TO SIGN UP! 610-420-4727, donato@dvol.com
